Dating safely on Tint

Tint is built for trust — but your instincts matter most. A few simple habits keep meeting people fun and safe.

Always one tap away

Report and Block are on every profile and in every chat. Reports are confidential and reviewed by our team, typically within 24 hours. Blocking someone removes you from each other completely.

Online

  • Protect your personal information. Don’t share your home or work address, financial details, or other sensitive info until you know and trust someone.
  • Keep conversations on Tint. Get to know someone in chat before moving to other apps. Bad actors often try to move you off-platform quickly.
  • Look for the blue tick. Verified profiles have completed photo verification. Verify your own profile to help others trust you.
  • Watch for red flags. Requests for money, refusing to video chat or meet, pushy behaviour, or a story that doesn’t add up — trust your instincts and report it.
  • Never send money. No matter the story, never send money or financial details to someone you’ve met on Tint.

Meeting in person

  • Meet in public the first few times. Choose a busy place like a café or bar, and stay in public until you’re comfortable.
  • Tell a friend. Let someone know where you’ll be and who you’re meeting, and consider sharing your live location with them.
  • Arrange your own transport. Get yourself there and back so you can leave whenever you want.
  • Stay sober and aware. Keep a clear head, watch your drink, and don’t leave it unattended.
  • Trust your gut. If something feels off, you don’t owe anyone an explanation. Leave, and report them in the app.

Respect & consent

  • A “no” is a complete sentence. Unsolicited explicit messages are never okay, and Tint has a strict no-nudity policy.
  • Treat everyone with respect — harassment, hate speech, and discrimination of any kind are not allowed and can get an account banned.

In an emergency
